Do's and Don'ts in Water Kefir Grains

Do's:

       1.  Please transfer the bought fresh water kefir grains to clean,chlorine free,odour free,clear glass jar.
       
       2.  You can use organic raw sugar,white refined sugar,palm sugar,brown sugar.add a mineral water over it cover it with cheese cloth loosely,so that it can easily liberates the carbon dioxide during fermentation
                    

       3.Now In malaysia,it is Rainy day... so please allow to ferment 20-24 hours to enjoy mild flavour kefir drink,add some fruits after straining the first fermentation,and again allow to ferment the filtered water kefir drink with fruits for another 24 hours.

       4.If you get some spring water or purified water,please try to chance to wash your glass jar and other things you are using to make kefir.

       5.If you Plan to go outing for a while,you can store the kefir grains filled over with required amount of  sugar solution close with plastic lid and keep in fridge for just 2 weeks only.
        

Don'ts
      1.Don't use metal utensils or lids.

IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS
* ALWAYS USE ONLY CLEAN AND CLEAR PLASTIC OR GLASS CONTAINERS, CLEAN PLASTIC OR WOODEN SPOONS AND CLEAN PLASTIC OR BAMOO STRAINERS!
* ALWAYS KEEP ALL THE UTENSILS CLEAN, WASH THEM ONLY IN NON-CHLORINATED WATER, DRY WELL WITH NATURAL COTTON, AND NEVER USE ANY SOLVENTS OR DETERGENTS!
* NEVER LET THE GRAINS COME IN CONTACT WITH CHLORINATED WATER!
* NEVER SUBJECT THE GRAINS TO COLD BELLOW ZERO CELSIUS!
* NEVER SUBJECT THE GRAINS TO HEAT ABOVE FORTY CELSIUS!
* NEVER LET THE GRAINS TO GET IN CONTACT WITH ANY METAL!
* NEVER LET THE GRAINS ON DIRECT SUNLIGHT!
* NEVER LET THE GRAINS WITHOUT FOOD!
* NEVER SQUEEZE THE GRAINS!
